What to expect when starting counseling:

  • An initial consultation via phone or email to understand what you are looking for in a counselor, what brings you to counseling and what your goals for counseling are.

  • During the first session, I will ask questions to gain more understanding about what brings you to counseling and we will develop goals for our work together.

  • Continuing counseling sessions are scheduled weekly, every other week, monthly or as needed based on your preference and needs.

  • Each session will include strategies to manage distressing feelings while further exploring how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected.
