      <image:title>Getting Started - What to expect when starting counseling:</image:title>
      <image:caption>An initial consultation via phone or email to understand what you are looking for in a counselor, what brings you to counseling and what your goals for counseling are. During the first session, I will ask questions to gain more understanding about what brings you to counseling and we will develop goals for our work together. Continuing counseling sessions are scheduled weekly, every other week, monthly or as needed based on your preference and needs. Each session will include strategies to manage distressing feelings while further exploring how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected.</image:caption>
